Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA)
The SSYRA Award program was designed to motivate young readers in grades K-8 by providing them with quality literature of many different genres and across many different reading levels. Each year 15 books are chosen by leaders in the school library media field. Students who have read at least 5 of the books on the list throughout the summer and school year can vote for their favorite in the spring of that year. Many students thrive with titles in this program, and are eager to join in for the Battle of the Books event.
