Hugs Across St. Johns County
Hugs Launches Summer SOAR
Hugs is excited to work with Crookshank Elementary and the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County to provide gently used and new books to children-in-need AND volunteer reading buddies throughout the summer! We hope you’ll work with us to help great local kids avoid Summer Slide and help them SOAR! This program is provided in conjunction with the free summer lunch program at both locations.

How Can You Help?
WE NEED BOOKS! Please consider donating PreK-6th grade books (new or very gently used, no writing inside) so that children can choose a book to bring home with them each week!
Email [email protected] to arrange a pickup or drop off!
We also appreciate donations to our FirstBook account which allows us to purchase brand new books for low cost….
WE NEED VOLUNTEER READING BUDDIES! Please consider volunteering your time to be a reading buddy just one hour a week, or even just one time! Volunteers must be ages 16+ and cleared to volunteer by the St. Johns County School District. Adults may volunteer with younger kids. Please visit our Sign Up Genius at http://www.bit.ly/SummerSOAR
